This role will oversee operational risk, contract management, compliance, and logistics support while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting our trading activities, managing financial transactions, and ensuring smooth coordination between internal and external stakeholders.
Logistics & Operations Management: Provide operational leadership and management to the India operations team, coordinating with HQ and Singapore team
Financial Transactions: Supervise payments, Letters of Credit (LCs), and acceptances to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Audit Compliance: Maintain all necessary records and recaps for audit and compliance purposes such as pricing, contracts etc. Act as a liaison for external audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring timely responses and accurate data submission.
Client Relationship Management: Manage relationships with customers especially on operations and risk issues, ensuring seamless communication and operational support.
Systems & Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve operational workflows and SOPs to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Team Development & Leadership: Lead and mentor operations staff, fostering a high-performance and compliant work culture
Risk & Compliance Oversight: Monitor and mitigate operational risks, including counterparty, logistical, and documentation risks across the supply chain.
Bachelors’ Degree from a recognized university
Strong experience in trading operations, and regulatory compliance within the commodity trading industry.
Knowledge of financial instruments, LME operations, and derivatives.
Experience managing contract execution, and logistics coordination.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders efficiently.
