SUMMARY

Client: Non-ferrous trading sector

The Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing the day-to-day operational activities of the Singapore entity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and local regulatory requirements. The role focuses on hands-on operational execution, cross-functional coordination, and process support to ensure efficient business operations. The Operations Specialist works closely with internal stakeholders to maintain operational excellence, resolve day-to-day issues, and contribute to continuous process improvement.

THE ROLE

Daily Operations Execution
Perform daily operational tasks in accordance with established procedures
Prepare, review, and maintain operational documents and records
Support transaction processing and operational follow ups
Monitor task completion and promptly flag issues or delays

Operational Support & Coordination
Coordinate with internal teams such as Finance, Sales/Trading, Logistics, and HR
Follow up on outstanding operational matters and unresolved items
Support smooth business operations through effective communication

Compliance & Documentation
Ensure operational activities comply with company policies and internal controls
Maintain accurate and complete documentation for audit and compliance purposes
Assist in internal and external audit preparation and inquiries

Finance & Closing Support
Support Finance team with operational inputs related to billing, payments, and reconciliations
Assist in monthly and year end closing activities
Track outstanding operational items impacting financial closing

Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies or control gaps in operational processes
Propose practical improvements to SOPs and workflows
Support implementation of process changes and system enhancements

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, or related fields
Min 3 years of relevant operations experience in non-ferrous/ ferrous metal trading environment
Experience working in a corporate or multinational environment
Strong attention to detail and execution capability
Experience in operations, finance support, trading support, or logistics support
Familiarity with ERP systems or structured operational processes
