You will lead the development, negotiation and management of trade finance and structured financing facilities to support the company’s global commodity trading operations. The role is responsible for securing and optimizing credit lines, working capital solutions and funding structures that align with commodity trading cycles and business growth objectives. Key responsibilities include structuring and executing a wide range of trade and structured finance transactions, while monitoring facility utilization, compliance and financing efficiency. You will build and maintain senior relationships with banks, financial institutions and alternative funding providers across multiple regions. Acting as the company’s primary banking interface, you will lead financing negotiations, facility renewals and funding initiatives that enhance liquidity, capital efficiency and long-term growth.

• Structure financing solutions aligned with the physical movement of commodities and associated trading cycles.
• Monitor facility utilisation, covenant compliance and funding costs.
• Drive continuous improvement in financing efficiency and working capital utilisation.
Structured Finance & Capital Solutions:
• Design and implement sophisticated structured finance solutions to support trading growth.
• Develop financing structures tailored to commodity flows, inventory positions and customer
requirements.
• Lead negotiations relating to:
- Pre-export financing
- Prepayment facilities
- Structured commodity finance
- Inventory-backed lending
- Receivables-backed lending
- Asset-backed financing
- Warehouse financing
- Offtake-backed financing
- Cross-border trade finance structures
- Evaluate alternative financing sources including:
- Private credit funds
- Commodity-focused lenders
- Export credit agencies
- Development finance institutions
- Structured investment vehicles
• Support the creation of innovative funding solutions that enhance liquidity while optimising capital
efficiency.
Banking & Financial Institution Relationships:
• Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with leading banks across Singapore, Asia Europe and the Middle East.
• Serve as the primary executive interface between the company and its banking partners.
• Lead annual facility renewals, syndication processes and financing negotiations.
• Expand the company’s banking network and identify new funding partners capable of supporting
future growth.
• Present company performance, trading strategies and risk management frameworks to lenders
and credit committees.
• Enhance the organisation’s reputation within the banking community through transparent
communication and disciplined financial management.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Banking, or a related discipline
8-15 years of experience in trade finance, structured finance, treasury, or commodity finance, with a proven track record of arranging and managing complex financing facilities for commodity trading businesses.
Extensive knowledge of trade finance instruments including Letters of Credit, SBLCs, revolving credit facilities, borrowing base facilities, inventory financing, receivables financing, supply chain finance, and commodity repo structures.
Strong expertise in structured commodity finance, including pre-export finance, inventory-backed lending, warehouse financing, asset-backed financing, and cross-border trade finance structures.
Established network and relationship management experience with international banks, commodity finance lenders, export credit agencies, and alternative financing providers.
Ability to negotiate complex financing arrangements and present to bank credit committees and senior stakeholders.
Strong understanding of commodity trading operations, working capital management, credit risk, and financial covenant monitoring.
Excellent commercial, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions
